HUMBER COMPANY OVERVIEW SECOND HAND VESSELS COMMERCIAL RIB'S
Proven Hull Design & Sizes

The first thing to remember when you are buying one of our vessels is that it is from the wordwide proven Humber stable. Humber are the original RHIB manufacturers which many have tried to copy and have produced more RHIBs than any other manufacturer and been in business for over 40 years. Indeed there is not a single country worldwide where you will not find a Humber.

Also of note is the fact that Humbers started as commercial vessel and only in recent years have they adpated into the leisure market. In almost all other cases of manufacturers they started as leuisure and tried to adapt to commercial.

Hulls are designed inhouse by the father of RHIBS - Frank Roffee. The design is noted for being exceptional efficient yet one of the best sea keeping RHIBs around. This has been achieved by R&D over 40 years and is still ongoing.

The first RIB to cross the Atlantic - A HUMBER in the mid 1980ies ....... The first underwater deployable infalatble - A HUMBER .........the list goes on.

The fitout can be as extensive as your imagination but like all buildings the foundation ie. the hull is the starting point for a sound commercial vessel.

  Size matters

Size matters ..... absolutely!! but the biggest is not always the best.

As standard, we offer a range up to 11m LOA with a 14m vessel currently under development.

However, the largest RHIB does not always mean that is the most suitable for the application.

Final choice of size will be driven by a number of parameters including payload, operational area, powering options, trailer ability, deck layout and resale value.

We normally recommend the 10m as the best all round option for passenger coded operations in offshore waters. This vessel is equally suited for dive operations permitting 12 divers plus all their equipment.

The 8.5/9m is well placed inshore for sailings up to 2 hours in duration.

Extra wide version 3.4m beam up to 15m LOA for serious offshore applications.

We supply from 4m upwards and typical hull specifications in the offshore range is shown below
