Two Years of Change : Building a Better Marine Business
Building a Business Around Quality, Honesty and Family Values
Over the past two years, Quinquari Marine has reshaped its business around quality, honesty and family values. From renewing its commercial partnership with Humber RIBs to delivering a more personal and transparent customer experience, the company remains focused on building dependable boats at fair and sensible prices.
The last two years have been a defining period for our business. We have challenged ourselves, questioned the way things have always been done and completely reshaped the company with one simple goal in mind: to build a business that puts people, quality and value first.
Having grown up in the marine industry, I have seen first-hand how volatile the market can be. I have also seen products sold at prices that simply do not reflect their true value. Watching some of the biggest companies operate has often left me asking one question: surely there is a better way of doing things?
Taking the Business Back to Its Foundations
When I took over the direction of the business, the first thing I did was strip everything back to its foundations. We took a long and honest look at every part of the company, keeping what worked for us and removing what did not.
Rather than chasing trends or trying to be everything to everyone, we focused on building a business that genuinely reflects our own values.
Strengthening Our Partnership with Humber RIBs
One of the most important steps in that journey was renewing our commercial partnership with Humber RIBs.
Humber is not only the oldest RIB manufacturer in the world but, in my opinion, continues to produce some of the strongest, most durable and best-built RIBs available today. Working alongside such a respected British brand allows us to offer our customers products we genuinely believe in, backed by decades of knowledge, experience and innovation.
This partnership is about much more than supplying boats. It gives us access to an incredible network of expertise and resources while still allowing us to provide the personal service that has always been at the heart of our business.
One Point of Contact from Start to Finish
From the very first conversation through to the design, build, delivery and final handover, I believe our customers should deal with one person throughout the entire process.
That means no confusion, no mixed messages and complete transparency from start to finish. Building a boat is a significant investment, and every customer deserves to know exactly what is happening at every stage.
Of course, as with any manufacturing business, delays can occasionally happen and challenges do arise. The difference is how you deal with them.
I have always believed that honesty, transparency and open communication are far more important than making promises you cannot keep. I would rather have an honest conversation than tell someone what they want to hear.
Quality Products at Fair and Sensible Prices
Our mission has never been to build the cheapest boats on the market, nor the most expensive. It is to build strong, reliable and high-quality products that are designed for everyday working life and recreational use, all at a fair and sensible price.
Regardless of what happens in the economy, changes in the market or fluctuations in sales, we will remain what we have always aimed to be: a strong, independent family business built on integrity, trust and genuine customer care.
Every Boat Matters
Today, the business is moving in a direction we have never seen before. We are seeing more boats leaving the workshop than ever, but we are determined not to lose sight of what matters.
Our philosophy remains simple: one boat in, one boat out.
Every customer receives the same level of care and attention, whether they are purchasing a 2-metre tender or commissioning a fully bespoke 12-metre cabin RIB.
Every boat matters. Every customer matters.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, I am incredibly excited about what the coming months will bring.
We are especially pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the Southampton International Boat Show for the full ten days this September, and we are looking forward to meeting both new and existing customers there.
Thank You for Your Support
Finally, I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey so far.
To our existing customers, thank you for your trust and loyalty. To those considering their next boat, I would love the opportunity to show you what makes us different.
My phone is always on, and I am always happy to answer questions, discuss ideas or simply have a chat about your next project.
